Growing up I helped my mother in the kitchen while she made dinner. From those experiences I developed a love of baking. After moving out on my own I have taught myself how to make a myriad of items. My kitchen slowly gets more equipped to handle my hobby and my friends enjoy the benefits of eating leftovers.
I have always been fascinated by photography. Sometimes I take my camera out and go looking for "the perfect shot". Other times I just use my phone to capture the perfect "Kodak Moment". Either way I try to find new angles and different perspectives of the world around me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so as we behold everything around us there is beauty to be found.
Traveling is one of my favorite things. Whether it's flying across the world, or a road trip for the weekend I enjoy all of it. I have lived in 5 different states, and I'm excited to move around. I traveled internationally to Tonga, Canada and Mexico. I have been to 28 states and territories. I plan to visit them all!
Spring 2015 my sister and I began writing a book. We were both in college in different cities so we had to use GoogleDocs to share the manuscript. When we finished our first draft we shared it with our family. At their encouragement, we went back and finished editing the book. We are currently sharing an advanced reading copy with friends for feedback. We will prepare a final draft and submit it to publishers.
The story is a historical romance western fiction. Cali is a young teacher who moves to the town of Morris TX where she meets the local doctor and his children. The book then tells the stories of their adventures and friendships. There is action, love, sorrow and adventure.
I am a big fan of Studio C on BYUtv. In the summer of 2015 I had the opportunity to go on the show as an extra. Here's a copy of the sketch to check out. Try to see if you can find me.
